I have not posted anything about the fiasco in
Annapolis, I suggest you go to zinjabeelah to
read a very good opinion about it -- I see it from
a jaded distrustful view point of this administrations
flailing -- smoke + mirrors charade -- while nothing was accomplished
for the Palestinian people or their rights to their homeland
-- it was nothing more than photo ops with very disingenuous
people + there is no shame -- fool me once and . . .

to quote mr. bush + we now know he knew the intel on
Iran was wrong about their bomb building -- that it was
halted three years ago !

Last night there was a lot of talk on the radio about Section 1615
hidden in the recently passed defense bill -- Denise Kucinich
made this statement at the end of an interview with Amy Goodman

"Amy, while we’re still on the air, there’s something I want to mention to you that I think is really important. Last night I was reading the Defense Authorization Bill, and there is a section in the bill that I want to read to you:

Section 1615 requires the Secretary of Defense to, one, “determine the military-unique capabilities needed to be provided by the Department of Defense to support civil authorities in an incident of national significance or a catastrophic incident.” And then it goes on to say provide funds to develop a plan. What’s going on in this country? How can we stand by and see our basic liberties undermined?"

So we have the Thought Police Bill 1959 which passed with only 6 "no's" which includes a provision to set up tribunals or boards to determine "Who is an American" which will be run as a government service (!) for four years then taken over by a company and become privatized --
+ a hidden sentence slipped into the defense bill that will allow for private armies "to be provided by the Department of Defense to support civil authorities in an incident of national significance or a catastrophic incident." What could that be?

"What’s going on in this country? How can we stand by and see our basic liberties undermined?"
