yesterday I had a series of moments that add up to "synchronicity"

I has an unexpected encounter with a shelf

I was moving at a rapid rate and the shelf with its ultimate decorum
was stationary -- and we met -- without any formal introduction --
I usually like to shake hands on first meeting and engage the eyes
but this shelf likes only eye contact and to hell with all other
civil niceties

It made its first contact just under the bone of the eyebrow --
part of the zygomatic bone I believe !!! and the skin was broken and
then the eye ball itself got a big clout --

I had a momentary blank out and black space & a big white and blue flash
and jerked my neck as I fell -- shelves can be quite brutal and I think I would
rather greet a sting ray !!!
